Philippe Halsman

ah yes good ol Halsman,

I found his photography quite strange. in the sense that, he has a very artistic touch when it comes to capturing the personality of the subject like for example this one above of Alfred Hitchcock who was known for his suspense in film. yet by having the bird where it is you eye flow will always move from the right along the line and to the main subject. he puts heaps of thought into each and every composition, and personality of the subject. i assume, he must then be a very social person.

This shot, is a great example of how sharp and powerful his black and white contrasts are, and once again he uses great composition by having your eye flow from the toes to the face.

Again another amazing photographer, he's more known for this still jump shots but i find the contrasting black and whites far more interesting than capturing something in motion.
